NGC 6006 is a 14.2 likes bright elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E3 in the constellation snake , an estimated 471 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center. The galaxies NGC 6007 and NGC 6009 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on June 2, 1864 .
