NGC 6007 is a 13.1 mag bar -spiral spiral radio galaxy of the Hubble-type SBcd in the constellation Snake , which is an estimated 475 million light years from the Milky Way . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6006 and NGC 6009 .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on June 2, 1864 .
