The Waldhof nature reserve is a 250 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is located southeast of Torgelow , northwest of Marienthal and was expelled on September 27, 1990. The protection purpose consists in the development of a section of the Ice Age Lagoon Reservoir with deciduous forests and grassland as a habitat for rare animal and plant species. The state of the area is assessed as satisfactory. Drainage is still detrimental. It is not possible to inspect the protected areas because they are in the military security area.
