Sabelsee nature reserve

The Sabelsee nature reserve is a 37 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is located southeast of Siggelkow and was expelled on October 18, 1939. The protection purpose consists in the preservation and restoration of the flat, originally nutrient-poor Sabelsee with surrounding moors in a sander area of south-west Mecklenburg with few lakes . The state of the area is assessed as unsatisfactory. Nutrient inputs from neighboring arable land and the abandonment of traditional arable and pasture use have a negative effect. The protected area can be viewed from the Redlin path towards Siggelkow and from a path on the east bank.
