Nick Bosa (* 23. October 1997 in Fort Lauderdale , Florida ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the defensive ends . He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes . In the 2019 NFL Draft , he was selected second by the San Francisco 49ers .

Early years

Bosa attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale. In his last season for the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders he scored 56 tackles , 29.5 of them for loss of space and five sacks , his team won the state championship and won 14 games in a defeat. Rivals.com rated him a five-star player, one of the top 30 players of his year.

college

Bosa played college football for Ohio State University with the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2016 to 2018 . He was elected to the First-Team All- Big-Ten in 2017 .

In the 2018 season he suffered a groin injury, which is why he had to end the season after three games. Bosa decided to drop out of college after his third season to prepare for the 2019 NFL Draft . He was traded as one of the first players to be selected in the draft and as possible first overall .

NFL

Bosa was selected second in the 2019 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers , with whom he signed a four-year, $ 33.5 million deal. In week 5 he was able to score two sacks, force a fumble and also capture a fumble in the game against the Cleveland Browns . He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance , as well as in week 8, when Bosa sank opposing quarterback Kyle Allen three times against the Carolina Panthers , caught his first interception in the NFL and carried it back 46 yards. A day later, he was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month as the best defensive player at the National Football Conference in October. On December 17, 2019, Bosa was nominated for the Pro Bowl for the first time . With the 49ers, Bosa made it to Super Bowl LIV in his rookie season . Before the Super Bowl, he was named Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year .

Private

His older brother Joey Bosa also plays as a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Los Angeles Chargers and was selected third in the 2016 NFL Draft . His father John Bosa also played in the same position in the NFL, he was selected in the 1987 first round of the draft by the Miami Dolphins and played for the Dolphins for three years. His great grandfather was the mobster Anthony Accardo .
