Outstanding Artist Award for Music

The Outstanding Artist Award for Music is one of the state prizes of the Republic of Austria , has been awarded annually by the Federal Ministry for Education, Art and Culture since 2009 and is currently endowed with € 8,000.

history

It replaces the Austrian Music Promotion Prize , which existed from 1971 to 2009 and whose predecessor was the State Prize for Music awarded from 1950 to 1970 . Besides being since 2010 Austrian Music Award awarded, the existing until 2009 Austrian Prize for Music replaced.
