Home patient care
The PHV- Der Dialysepartner Patient-Heimversorgung (PHV) is a non-profit foundation based in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe , which, according to its own information, operates as the second largest German dialysis provider and in particular promotes home dialysis.
The foundation was established in 1973 with the aim of promoting the care and care of patients, those in need of assistance and care; the first dialysis center was opened in 1974. Today (as of 2017) the PHV supplies more than 7,000 dialysis patients in Germany , Austria and Switzerland in cooperation with over 150 cooperating specialists in internal medicine and nephrology (kidney medicine ) . National home dialysis training centers
The supraregional home dialysis training centers are used to train patients and relatives in home dialysis and also to provide advanced training for doctors and nurses. Patients can be referred from their dialysis center to the training centers for a certain period of time and then come back again. Follow training centers exist, all of which, with the exception of Bad Mergentheim, are located in the respective dialysis center.
