Patrick Ebert (born March 17, 1987 in Potsdam ), also known as Ebi in Spain , is a German football player who is preferred in the right midfield.

The midfielder started playing football at TuS Gaarden in Kiel . In 1998 he moved to Hertha BSC via TSV Russee . From the 2006/07 season he was there in the professional squad. Ebert made his competitive debut on July 16, 2006 in the UI Cup game against FK Moscow , when he was substituted on in the 80th minute. He made his first appearance in the Bundesliga on August 13, 2006 in the game against VfL Wolfsburg , and scored his first Bundesliga goal on the second matchday (against Hannover 96 ). On October 24, 2007, Ebert extended his contract with Hertha BSC, which was running out at the end of the season, until June 30, 2012.

After the end of the 2011/12 season , the new coach Jos Luhukay no longer planned with him in the new season. Ebert then moved to the Spanish first division promoted Real Valladolid during the summer break of 2012 , where he signed a contract that ran until 2014 and was given the number 20 shirt. Based on his nickname, "Ebi" was the player name on his jersey . On August 20, 2012, he played in the 1-0 win against Real Zaragoza for the first time for his new club in the Primera División . On February 7, 2014 Ebert canceled his contract and moved to Spartak Moscow . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season , the Spanish first division club Rayo Vallecano signed him and provided him with a contract that ran until June 30, 2017.

After the end of his contract he was without a club for six months before joining the German second division club FC Ingolstadt 04 until the end of the season in January 2018 .

In the summer of 2018, Ebert moved to the second division Dynamo Dresden . His contract runs until 2020.

National team

Ebert went through all youth teams of the DFB from the U17 . He played 13 international matches for the German U21 national team from 2007 to 2009 and scored one goal; In 2009 he won the U21 European Championship with the team .

Because of property damage - together with Kevin-Prince Boateng he is said to have damaged a total of 13 vehicles in the Berlin district of Wilmersdorf on March 18, 2009 - Ebert received a penalty warrant for 56,000 euros in January 2010 . In contrast to Boateng, he accepted the penalty order immediately.
