The Porsche Super L 308 is a tractor from Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH , which was based in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and produced the tractor model from 1958 to 1960. The Porsche Super L 308 was a long version of the Porsche Super N 308 , which had comparable technical properties.

An air-cooled four-stroke , three-cylinder diesel in- line engine powered the Porsche tractor. With its 28 kW, the Porsche tractor could reach a top speed of 20 km / h . In addition, it had pressure circulation lubrication and an innovative swirl chamber process. The Porsche Optima combustion process with radial cooling fan known from the previous models was also part of the equipment of the Porsche Super L 308. The injection nozzles and injection pumps from Bosch supplied the engine with fuel .

The long version of the Porsche Super L 308 had a standard double clutch and a longer wheelbase . In addition, the tractor was manufactured in different versions with adjustable wheelbases. The track width of the Super L 308 was 1250–1650 mm at the front and 1285–1880 mm at the rear. The drive coupling, designed as a hydraulic fluid coupling, could be expanded to include a hydrostop. The first version of the Super L 308 had a pendulum axle with individual telescopic suspension and track adjustment. The second version, on the other hand, had a height-adjustable pendulum axle with individual telescopic suspension and track adjustment. The rear axle was manufactured in a portal design with adjustable track width. A foot-operated inner shoe brake, which could also be used individually as a steering brake, was used on the rear wheel.

The tractor, which weighed around 1,660 kg, had a resilient ZF or Getrag gear change transmission with five forward gears and one reverse gear. A creeper was available as an option. A combination of dry and oil-hydraulic clutch technology made it possible to start off in all gears under high load. The use of a double clutch enabled PTO-driven mowers or high-pressure balers to be operated.
