Prašník (Hungarian Prasnikirtvány ) is a municipality in the west of Slovakia with 833 inhabitants (December 31, 2019) that the Piešťany District of, part Trnavský kraj belongs.
geography
The municipality is located on the northeast slope of the Little Carpathians by the Holeška brook . The center of the village lies at an altitude of 189 m nm and is four kilometers from Vrbové and 14 kilometers from Piešťany .
The municipality is divided into parts of Prašník and Pustá Ves.
history
Prašník as an independent municipality was established in 1958 after the individual farms were outsourced (Slovak regional kopanice ) of the city of Vrbové and received the name of the largest individual farm. In addition , there was the place Pustá Ves, previously part of Šterusy .
