The Okres Piešťany (German District Piešťany ) is an administrative region in the west of Slovakia km² with 63,964 inhabitants (2004) and an area of the 381st

The district is enclosed in the Waagtal between the Inowetz and the northern Little Carpathians . In the north it borders on the districts of Myjava and Nové Mesto nad Váhom in Trenčiansky kraj , in the east on the district Topoľčany in Nitriansky kraj and in the south on the district Hlohovec and in the west on the district Trnava .

Historically, the district lies entirely in the former Neutra county (see also the list of historical counties in Hungary ).
