Qatar Classic 2018

The Qatar Classic 2018 took place from October 27 to November 2, 2018 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha , Qatar . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2018/19 and belonged to the PSA World Tour Platinum category .

Last year's winner was world number leader Mohamed Elshorbagy , who was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Diego Elías . In the final, Ali Farag, seeded in second position, met Simon Rösner , whom he defeated 11: 9, 11: 7 and 11: 5.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 48 players. The eight best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Syed Azlan Amjad and Abdul Rahman Al-Malki each a spot in the main draw.

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. The amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 177,750.
