Qatar Classic 2009

The Qatar Classic 2009 took place from November 19-23 , 2009 in Doha , Qatar . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2009/10 and belonged to the Super Series category . The prize money was $ 147,500. The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2009/10 and belonged to the WSA Gold 60 category . The prize money was $ 74,000.

Defending champion in the men's race was Karim Darwish , who also reached the final this year. In this he met Nick Matthew , who won the game with 11: 5, 12:10 and 11: 6. Jenny Duncalf won the women's final against Rachael Grinham 11: 5, 11: 3 and 11: 3.

The field of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best men were seeded, the 16 best women were seeded. Per Wildcard received Abdul Rahman Al-Malki a spot in the main draw of the men, the women's no wild card was awarded.
