Qatar Classic 2003

The Qatar Classic 2003 took place from November 30th to December 5th, 2003 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha , Qatar . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2003/04 and belonged to the Super Series category . The prize money was $ 120,000. The women's tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2003/04 and belonged to the WSA Platinum category . The prize money was $ 105,000.

Defending champion in the men's race was Peter Nicol , who was eliminated this year in the quarter-finals against eventual winner Lee Beachill . Beachill met John White in the final , whom he defeated with 15:12, 15: 5, 11:15, 12:15 and 15: 9. Both Stephen Meads and Tim Garner ended their careers after they retired from qualifying . The women's competition was won by Natalie Grainger , who defeated Carol Owens in the final with 10: 9, 9: 7, 9:10 and 9: 4. The winner of the last edition in 2001 , Sarah Fitz-Gerald , did not run again.

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The best 16 players were each seeded. Wildcards were not given.
