Qatar Classic 2010

The Qatar Classic 2010 took place from November 7th to 12th, 2010 in Doha , Qatar . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2010/11 and belonged to the World Series Platinum category . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2010/11 and belonged to the WSA Gold 60 category .

Defending champion was Nick Matthew , who was eliminated in the semifinals against Karim Darwish that year . Last year Matthew had won against Darwish in the final. In this year's final, Karim Darwish met Amr Shabana , whom he defeated 8:11, 11: 2, 11: 7 and 11: 6. After 2008 , Darwish won the Qatar Classic for the second time. Nicol David secured the women's title, in the final she defeated Rachael Grinham with 11: 5, 11: 8 and 11: 9. Last year's winner Jenny Duncalf was eliminated in the semifinals against Grinham.

The field of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were reserved for men and six for women for qualifiers. The eight best men were seeded, the 16 best women were seeded. Per Wildcard received Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi a spot in the main draw, with the ladies no wild card was awarded.
