Qatar Classic 2008

The Qatar Classic 2008 took place from October 27 to 31, 2008 in Doha , Qatar . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2008/09 and belonged to the Super Series category . The prize money was $ 145,000. The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2008/09 and belonged to the WSA Gold 60 category . The prize money was $ 74,000.

The defending champion was Amr Shabana , who also reached the final this year. In the final he met Karim Darwish , who defeated Shabana 11: 4, 11: 5 and 11: 3. Last year's winner Nicol David won the women's final against Natalie Grinham 11: 7, 11: 3 and 11: 9.

The fields of participants in the men's and women's competitions consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers for men and six for women. The best 16 players were each seeded. Wildcards were not given.
