history
The place was first mentioned by name in 1269 as "Rutherin", whereby the place name is derived from the Ahd. Riutan (= reuten, clearing). The further development to the current form is similar to the place knights atypical; According to the laws of sound shifting, the form Reutern would actually be expected .
There was a chapel in the village from 1500 to 1723 .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were four properties in Rüdern (1 farm with sheep grazing rights, 2 half sheep and maier farms, 1 estate). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The Dietenhofen caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth held the authority of the village and the community and the landlord over all properties . There was also a house that was exempt from taxes. From 1797 to 1806 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Ansbach .
As part of the community edict, Rüdern was assigned to the Kleinhaslach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Kleinhaslach, founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the Dietenhofen market on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
