Ralph W. Farris

Ralph W. Farris (born June 1, 1886 in Rockland , Maine , † April 2, 1968 in Augusta , Maine) was an American attorney and politician who was Maine Attorney General from 1945 to 1950 .

Life

Ralph Webster Farris was born in Rockland to Henry K. Farris and Alice Emma Webster. He worked as a lawyer in Augusta. His son Ralph W. Farris jun. worked in this office.

As a member of the Republican Party , he was a member of the House of Representatives from Maine from 1929 to 1934. He was a member of the Maine Senate from 1941 to 1944 . He was Maine Attorney General from 1945 to 1950.

Ralph W. Farris was married to Lillian Kathleen Essancy. From this marriage there are two sons and a daughter. Ferris died on April 2, 1968 in Augusta. His grave is in the Forest Grove Cemetery in Augusta.
