Frank F. Harding

Frank F. Harding (born March 21, 1916 in Rockland , Maine , † July 15, 1989 in Portland , Maine) was an American lawyer and politician who was Maine Attorney General from 1955 to 1958 .

Life

Frank Ford Harding was born in Rockland to Frank F. Harding and Agnes L. Riley Harding. He graduated from Rockland High School in 1933 and studied law while working in Jerry Burrows' office. In 1937 he was admitted to the bar.

He served as a county and district attorney and was a clerk for the Knox County . As a member of the Republican Party , he was a member of the Maine House of Representatives from 1951 to 1952, a member of the Maine Senate from 1953 to 1954, and Maine Attorney General from 1955 to 1958.

Harding was a member of the Maine Bar Association and also served as President of the Bar as well as a Freemason .

Frank F. Harding was married with one son. He died in Portland on July 15, 1989. His grave is in Achorn Cemetery in Rockland.
