In the final game, Rasmus Schüller was not used by Mika Lehkosuo . In the championship he finished second with the team behind Inter Turku at the end of the year and took part with the team in the second qualifying round for the 2009/10 Europa League . Furthermore, the team left in February 2009 in La Manga, Spain, as the winner of the La Manga Cup held there every year . By the end of the season, when the team finished the season in fourth place, the Finnish midfielder was able to make a total of 22 league appearances in which he himself remained goalless, but contributed three assists. Initially, the game year should be played with 14 teams, but was played after the license refusal to Tampere United and AC Oulu with only 12 clubs in 33 games. From the 25th round on, Schüller was no longer in the squad of the professional team. Furthermore, FC Honka had the longest run without defeat this season with 14 league games in a row. Still faced with a 6-0 defeat in the away game in Spain, a 3-3 draw was made in the second leg at home, in which Rasmus Schüller contributed a goal and an assist, which was not enough to advance. While the reigning champions in the Finnish Cup 2012 were eliminated in the semifinals against Schüller's former club with a score of 4-5 after the penalty shoot-out, the team with Schüller's participation made it to the final of the Finnish League Cup 2012 . There, the team lost to the Turku PS in front of a little more than 2,000 spectators in the Sonera Stadium , also in the penalty shootout .

In the league things went better for Antti Muurinen's players, with first place being achieved with six points ahead of closest rival Inter Turku. This automatically qualified the club for the second qualifying round for the 2013/14 CL , where the team was eliminated early with an overall result of 1: 2 against Nõmme Kalju. In the 2013 game year Rasmus Schüller was used again under the new coach Sixten Boström in a large part of the 33 league games played, where he made a total of 23 league appearances, but acted much more aggressively than in previous years. This season, the capital city club not only recorded the highest home win of the season with a 6-0 win over Inter Turku on June 13, but also scored the highest away win with a 5-0 win over IFK Mariehamn on June 27 of the year.

With the 2013 championship title, the club again took part in the second qualifying round for the 2014/15 Champions League , where the team met Rabotnički Skopje and narrowly prevailed against the Macedonians with an overall result of 2-1. In the third qualifying round, the team around Rasmus Schüller, who alternated between right and central midfielder in the tournament, failed with a total score of 2: 4 to APOEL Nicosia . There the Finnish club met FC Copenhagen , FC Brugge and FC Turin between September and December 2014 , with the team eliminated from the current tournament as third in Group B. Schüller was hardly used, partly due to injury, and only came into play in the last two games.

In the 2014 game year , Schüller was only used in eleven league games, partly also because of his several months injury break, with one goal and three assists. Shortly after the start of the championship, there was already a change of coach at the capital club, with the previous coach Sixten Boström being replaced by Schüller's long-time coach Mika Lehkosuo, who in addition to Schüller encountered numerous of his former protégés who had already migrated to the HJK.
