Rio das Ostras , officially Portuguese Município de Rio das Ostras , is a city on the Atlantic in the state of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil . It is located 170 km northeast of Rio and has a population of around 146,000 (2018).
Culture
The four-day Rio Ostras Jazz & Blues Festival has been taking place here in June since 2003 and is considered one of the best jazz and blues festivals in Brazil.
