The 2005/06 Royal League was the second season of football competition for club teams and took place between November 10, 2005 and April 6, 2006. The winner was FC Copenhagen from Denmark for the second time , who defeated Lillestrøm SK from Norway 1-0 in the final .
The twelve teams, four each from the Danish Superliga , the Norwegian Tippeligaen and the Swedish Fotbollsallsvenskan , initially competed against each other in three groups with a return game, the two top teams and the two best-placed third-placed teams in each group were for the quarter-finals qualified, which, like the subsequent semi-finals, was decided in a return leg.

All prize money and bonus payments are given in Norwegian kroner .

The second season was accompanied by falling audience interest. An average of 3935 spectators (including the finals) came to the games, which means a decrease of 1579 spectators. In terms of countries, Denmark led with an average attendance of 6454 (−1265) per game, followed by Sweden with 3343 (−216) and Norway with 1404 (−3873).
