Location and dates

Sciara is located 60 km southeast of Palermo . The residents mainly work in agriculture. Olives and artichokes are produced.

The neighboring municipalities are Aliminusa , Caccamo , Cerda and Termini Imerese .

history

The present village was founded in 1671.

Attractions

The castle of the Notarbartolo Prince of Sciara stands on a cliff. The place is laid out like a chessboard, the center is the insula.
