Sieg was a district of the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today it forms part of Rosbach .

location

Sieg is located in the Siegtal on the southern bank, while the victory route runs south . Former neighboring towns were Hundenborn in the southeast, Rüddel in the south and Rosbach itself in the northwest.

history

Sieg belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld . In 1830 Sieg had 44 inhabitants. In 1845 the hamlet had 73 inhabitants in twelve houses, one Catholic, 68 Protestant and four Jewish . In 1863 there were 76 people. In 1888 there were 55 residents in twelve houses. In 1962 there were 48 inhabitants, in 1976 53.
