The gorse heather in Nordholz is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Wurster North Sea Coast in the district of Cuxhaven .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 022 is 2.6  hectares . It is west of Nordholz. In the southeast it borders directly on the “ Klinten ” nature reserve .

The nature reserve on the edge of the Stade Geest provides a fen area under protection, on whose turf surfaces dwarf shrub heath and gorse grow. In order to keep the tree vegetation low, decussing measures take place.

The area is drained via ditches and sluices directly into the North Sea.

The area has been a nature reserve since February 29, 1936. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cuxhaven.
