The Hadelner and Belumer Außenendeich is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Otterndorf and the municipality of Belum in the combined municipality of Land Hadeln in the district of Cuxhaven and the municipality of Balje in the combined municipality of Nordkehdingen in the district of Stade .

The nature reserve with the NSG LÜ 100 label is 1,804  hectares in size. The nature reserve is part of the FFH area “Lower Elbe” and the EU bird protection area “Lower Elbe”. To the east, the nature reserves “ Vogelschutzgebiet Hullen ” and “ Wildvogelreservat Nordkehdingen ” adjoin the area.

The area has been a nature reserve since July 16, 1984. It was initially 1,283  hectares in size. On April 28, 2017, the " Ostemündung " nature reserve , to which the "Hadelner und Belumer Außenendeich" nature reserve was directly adjacent in the east, was added to the area. Responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Cuxhaven and Stade and the Lower Saxony State Office for Water Management, Coastal Protection and Nature Protection.

The nature reserve is located in the approximately eight kilometers long foreland of the dike between the mouth of the Medem in the Elbe or the Hadelner Canal in the west and the Oste in the east.

The nature reserve includes tidal flats and water areas and grassland in the dyke foreland influenced by the tides . It is of great importance as a breeding, feeding and resting biotope, especially for Limikolen and water birds .
