The Heide und Moor bei Haslah nature reserve is located in the localities of Ohlenstedt in the city of Osterholz-Scharmbeck in the district of Osterholz and Hoope in the municipality of Hagen in Bremen in the district of Cuxhaven .

General

The nature reserve Heide und Moor bei Haslah has a size of about 15 hectares, of which about 9 hectares are in the Osterholz district. It was placed under nature protection by the Lüneburg district government in 1984 and bears the statistical designation "NSG LÜ 99".

According to the district government of Lüneburg, the protection was placed "to preserve the floristic, vegetation-related and faunistic importance of the area, in particular the typical bog plant communities and habitats and several plant species endangered in Lower Saxony and the particular importance for the landscape".

Bog lily

In the area, depending on the different contour lines and moisture conditions, there are various sandy and peatland biotopes: In the higher areas, mixed oak forest, sandy heather and poor grassland can be found . In the more humid areas there are transitional moor areas with plants rich in dwarf shrubs and pipe grass. There are also forest stadiums with moor lily moorland and bell heather stands. The area is of great importance for endangered plant species.
