The Groveniederung is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipalities of Beverstedt and Schiffdorf in the district of Cuxhaven .

The area has been under nature protection since July 6, 2018. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cuxhaven.

The nature reserve is located east of Bremerhaven . It extends along the valley low of the Grove from the crossing of the brook at Silbersee south of Wehdel to a little below the crossing of the brook at Altluneberg and protects the course of the Grove and the Altgrove with its bank zone and a narrow strip of water along almost its entire length . Among others, the grove is the habitat for the FFH species brook and river lamprey , otters and pond bat . The nature reserve is crossed by the state road 143 and the Bremerhaven – Buxtehude railway line at Wehdel and by two public roads at Altluneberg.
