The extensive pastures north of Langen are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony city of Geestland in the district of Cuxhaven .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 305 is about 5.13  hectares . It includes the approximately 4.27 hectare FFH area of the same name . The area has been under protection since July 22, 2016. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Cuxhaven.

The nature reserve is located north of Bremerhaven between Langen , Debstedt and Sievern in the Hohen Lieth . It places a boggy lowland area on the edge of the lowland of the Wremer Moorgraben under protection, to which a sandy geest knoll adjoins to the northeast .

The lowland is occupied by moist, extensively grazed grassland with a mosaic of different plant communities. Within the grassland there is an area interspersed with gale bushes . The woody stocks are partially dense and interspersed with birch and pine trees. Small areas of wet heathland as well as whistle grass bog stadiums and marsh riding grass reeds exist. In the area of the sandy knoll, a species-rich nebula grass has developed, a type of biotope that is rare in Lower Saxony. Sometimes very rare plant species settle here.

The nature reserve is surrounded by agricultural land . To the south and southeast it borders on the Wremer Moorgraben.
