Summit Air , until March 13, 2017 Goma Air , is a Nepalese airline based in Kathmandu and based at Surkhet Airport .
history
Goma Air was founded in 2011 and specializes in STOL connections in high mountains. Like all Nepalese airlines, it is on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union and is therefore not allowed to fly to the European Union .

Incidents
- On May 27, 2013, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan ( aircraft registration number 9N-AJU ) was badly damaged in a failed landing at Simikot Airport . The eleven people on board, nine passengers and two crew members, were unharmed.
- On May 27, 2017, a Let L-410 (9N-AKY) cargo aircraft with three people on board failed to land at Lukla Airport . Due to a stall , the machine collided with trees and crashed into an earth wall just before the runway on an incline. The captain and the co-pilot were killed, the third person survived the accident. The cargo flight had started in Kathmandu .
- On April 14, 2019, an aircraft of the type Let L-410 (9N-AMH) with 3 crew members on board at Lukla Airport came off the runway for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided with 2 parked helicopters. According to the Himalayan Times, 3 people, the co-pilot and 2 police officers on the ground, were killed. Three other people were injured.
