The Tatra 623 is a car of the luxury class of Tatra . The four-door sedan with rear engine is essentially the same as the respective model of the Tatra 613 . Like the Type 613, it had the air-cooled 3.5-liter and 3.8-liter V8 engine and was only delivered in Czechoslovakia , mainly to authorities such as the police , fire brigade and rescue workers.

While the Tatra 613-4 was replaced by the Tatra 700 in 1996 , the Tatra 623 was built until 1998.
