Tatras 604
The Tatra 604 is the prototype of a small car from the former Czechoslovak and now Czech manufacturer Tatra . It was designed in 1954 as a smaller version of the Tatra 600 Tatraplan .
history
The Tatra 604 was derived in 1954 as a four-seater lower middle class car from the type 600 Tatraplan , but had only two doors and a significantly smaller boxer engine with a displacement of only 750 cm³. As with the Tatraplan, its front axle was suspended from two transverse leaf springs, and a pendulum axle with coil springs was installed at the rear. The drum brakes were operated mechanically.
Only a prototype was made.
