The Tatra 107 was a mid-range car model from the Czechoslovak manufacturer Tatra . It was produced from 1946 to 1947 as the successor to the Tatra 97 . Its successor from 1947 was the Type 600 Tatraplan .

history

The Tatra 107 was presented in 1946 as the successor to the Type 97 . The body was 280 mm longer than that of the predecessor. It also had a new chassis with independent wheel suspensions (two transverse leaf springs at the front, and a pendulum axle with torsion bars at the rear). The central box frame was welded to the partially self-supporting body. The redesigned engine now had an underlying camshaft, bumpers and rocker arms. The drum brakes were operated hydraulically.
