Tatra Mountains 90
The Tatra 90 was the prototype of an upper middle class car that the Tatra factory in Nesselsdorf ( Kopřivnice ) built in 1935.
The vehicle had the air-cooled four-cylinder OHC boxer engine of the Type 82 off-road vehicle with a displacement of 2490 cm³ and an output of 55 hp (40 kW). The engine installed in the front drove the rear wheels via a single-disc dry clutch and a four-speed gearbox with synchronized third and fourth gear. The achievable maximum speed was 90 km / h. The chassis had a central tube, a front axle with a transverse leaf spring and pendulum axles at the rear, also with a transverse leaf spring.
The four-door, six-seater limousine body was based on the model of the Type 77 that had previously been created, rounded off at the front and rear, but - similar to the VW Beetle - had separate fenders with integrated headlights and running boards.
Presumably two test vehicles were made.
