The Tatra 607 is a single-seat racing car from the then Czechoslovakian and now Czech manufacturer Tatra .

Type 607
The Tatra 607 was designed as the brand's first post-war monoposto in 1950. It received an air-cooled V8 engine, as it was later used in the car model 603 . He had an ejector cooling , i. that is, the exhaust gases were led to the cylinders. The front wheels were attached to double wishbones , the rear swing axle had inclined telescopic shock absorbers and push rods . The Tatra 607-2 was launched in 1951 as the successor to the Type 607. Its body was flatter than that of its predecessor.
