Tatra V 799

he Tatra V 799 was a medium-weight off-road vehicle based on the Type 79 truck that the Tatra factory in Nesselsdorf brought out in 1938 as the successor to the Type 750 .

The vehicle had an overhead , air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 2191 cm³ and an output of 50 hp (37 kW). The engine drove all four wheels via a single-disc dry clutch and a four-speed gearbox with countershaft, which offered eight forward gears and two reverse gears.

There was only an open, 4-seater Kübelwagen body .

The successor to this model, which was built for only one year, was the V 809 from 1940 .
