The 6th stage of the Tour de France 2017 took place on July 6th 2017. It led over 216 kilometers from Vesoul to Troyes . There was an intermediate sprint in Colombey-les-Deux-Églises after 135 kilometers and two mountain classifications in the 4th category.
Marcel Kittel won his second stage in the mass sprint without a classic sprint move from behind after a breakaway group with Vegard Stake Laengen , Perrig Quemeneur and Frederik Backaert , which had formed shortly after the start, was overtaken three kilometers from the finish. Chris Froome defended his yellow jersey without any problems .
