Cherkaske ( Ukrainian Черкаське ; Russian Черкасское Cherkasskoye ) is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine with about 4250 inhabitants (2018).

The settlement is located in the Novomoskowsk district in the central Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 20 km northeast of the Novomoskowsk district center .

The place was founded in 1949 as a settlement for the members of a military battalion under the name Nowe , in 1957 it was elevated to an urban-type settlement, then renamed Cherkasy in 1958, following the recapture of Cherkassy by the local military unit.
