Pereschtschepyne ( Ukrainian Перещепине ; Russian Перещепино Pereschtschepino ) is a city in the center of Ukraine with about 10,000 inhabitants (2020). The town, first mentioned in writing in 1764, received city status in 2000.
geography
Pereschtschepyne is located in the north of Novomoskovsk Raion , a Raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the border with Kharkiv Oblast . The city is located on the left bank of the Oril , a tributary of the Dnieper , as well as the Dnieper-Donbass Canal .
Via the trunk road M 18 , a section of the E 105 , which runs along the city, the city of Dnipro can be reached in 75 km to the south and the city of Kharkiv after 150 km on the same road to the north. Pereschtschepyne train station is 2 km west of the city.
