Hwardijske ( Ukrainian Гвардійське ; Russian Гвардейское Gwardeiskoje ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in Novomoskovsk Raion .

Hwardijske was founded in 1957 as a garrison of the Soviet Army . In 2012 it had around 6,000 inhabitants.

geography

The settlement is located on the left bank of the Samara , a tributary of the Dnepr, and has a connection to the M 18 trunk road , a section of the E 105 . After 13 km in a southerly direction, the district center Novomoskowsk can be reached via this, then Pidhorodne and after 45 km Dnipro .
