The 2nd Winter Paralympics were held from February 1st to 7th, 1980 in the Norwegian town of Geilo . The Paralympics are the Olympic Games for people with physical disabilities . About 350 athletes from 18 nations took part in the competitions.
Participating Nations
Belgium and Poland did not take part in the second Winter Paralympics. It was the first Winter Paralympics for Australia, Denmark, Italy and New Zealand. All in all, two more nations took part than in the first Winter Paralympics.
