coat of arms
Blazon : “Divided by gold (yellow) and blue by a silver line (narrow white bar). On top of the gold (yellow) two different red gables. Below on blue a post horn turned to the left, covered with four red-stemmed oak leaves. " | |
Foundation of the coat of arms: The community of Groß Oesingen is located in a heathland landscape, which can be understood through the representation of two sheep pens that still exist today. The old Heerstraße running through the community of Groß Oesingen, marked by the white bar, was important because of the post office once located in the community, which is symbolized by the golden post horn. The four oak leaves placed on the post horn signify the four localities that are now combined in the municipality of Groß Oesingen. |
The coat of arms of the municipality of Gr. Oesingen was approved by the Gifhorn district on January 15, 1985.
