Zhoř (German Weshor , also Weshorsch ) is a municipality with 145 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the Czech Republic . It is located 11 km south of Stříbro at an altitude of 502 m above sea level. M. and belongs to the Okres Tachov .
history
The first mention of the place comes from the year 1239. In the Berní rula from the year 1654/55 Weshor was called the largest and most valuable village of the Kladrau monastery property . In 1715 the chapel of the Virgin Mary was built in the town center. The parish church was in Kapsch . In 1939 there were 301 people in Weshor.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the district of Mies .
On January 1, 1980, Zhoř was incorporated into Kladruby u Stříbra . Since November 24, 1990 it has been an independent municipality again.
