history

The first mention of Lohm comes from the year 1379. The center of the Rundling was the village pond, a forge and a bell tower. The parish church was in Tachau . In 1400 a fortress was built in Lohm, which was mentioned for the last time in 1770 and from 1785 was called a desolate castle with a mighty tower. After 1454 the place was called "Deutsch Lohm". The baroque chapel of the Virgin Mary was built in 1819. In 1939 there were 234 people in Lohm.

After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district .

A pig fattening facility for 1,400 sows was built between 1965 and 1968 and a cultural center between 1970 and 1973. On January 1, 1980 Lom was incorporated into Tachov, and since November 24, 1990 the place has been an independent municipality again.
