Dlouhý Újezd (German Langendörflas ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers south of Tachov at an altitude of 527 m above sea level. M. in the Upper Palatinate Forest (Český les).
history
Langendörflas was first mentioned in 1361. The place was part of the Tachau vassal association. The small castle was converted into a castle in the Middle Ages.
From 1766 to 1850, the village belonged to the manorial Tachau , while it was also the parish. The place has some stone carvings by the master stonemason Georg Böhm from Studánka (Schönbrunn).
A small Jewish community resided in the village and there was a synagogue in the 18th and 19th centuries . Dlouhý Újezd has a preserved Jewish cemetery , which was laid out in the 18th century and commemorates the Jewish population. In 1939, 629 people lived in the village.
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district .
