This is an alphabetical list of all space travelers, people who have flown in space.

Names in italic are space travelers who have left Low Earth orbit, names in bold are space travelers who have walked on the moon. The flags indicate the space traveler's citizenship at the time of flight(s). A * next to a name indicates that the person died during spaceflight.

The criteria for determining who has achieved human spaceflight vary. The FAI defines spaceflight as any flight over 100 kilometres (62 miles). In the United States, professional, military, and commercial astronauts who travel above an altitude of 80 kilometres (50 miles) are awarded astronaut wings. This list follows the FAI criterion. People who died training for space travel or died during missions that failed to reach the required altitude such as Christa McAuliffe can be found in the article on space disasters.

As of September 25, 2008, a total of 485 humans from 38 countries have gone into space according to the FAI guideline, while 491 people qualify under the U.S. definition. Of those totals, 482 people have reached Earth orbit and 24 people have traveled beyond low Earth orbit. Space travelers have spent over 29,000 person-days (or a cumulative total of over 77 years) in space including over 100 person-days of spacewalks.[1]
