Žut is an island in Šibenik-Knin County in Croatia . It has an area of ​​14.83 km², making it the second largest island in the Kornati Islands . There are no permanent residents on the island. All dwellings on the island are holiday apartments or seasonal restaurants. There is a developed marina in the northeast of the island.

Žut is located between the two islands of Pašman and Kornat . The 45.9 km long coast of the island usually falls very steeply into the sea and is interspersed with numerous bays. The highest peak on the island is the 155 m high Gubavac .

Žut has a sparse vegetation and is mostly overgrown with maquis . Due to the agricultural use of the island there are also olive trees , fig trees and grapevines .
