Appio-Latino
Appio-Latino is the ninth district of Rome (IX. Quartieri; abbreviation Q.IX).
Decorated on May 24, 1926 district (Quartieri) Appio Latino is one of 35 Quartieri the city of Rome . It has (as of 2016) 59,325 inhabitants on an area of 5.89 km² and is located southeast of the old town and the Aurelian Wall and between the Via Appia and the Via Appia Nuova, crossed by the historic Via Latina .
The neighborhood boundaries are
- to the north with the district of A. Monti (Rione dei Monti)
- to the east to the district Q. VIII Tuscolano
- in the southeast with the district Q. XXVI Appio-Pignatelli
- in the southwest with the district Q. XX Ardeatino and the district R. XIX Celio (Rione del Celio).
