Gianicolense
Gianicolense is a district in the southwest of the Italian capital Rome . The name is derived from the Gianicolo hill . The quarter is called Q.XII and is part of Municipio XII . It has 89,618 inhabitants and has an area of 7.7682 km².
It forms the zone urbanistiche designated with the code 16.d with 54,281 inhabitants.
The Romans usually referred to the quarter as Monteverde .

Gianicolense is one of the first 15 districts established in Rome in 1911 and officially recognized in 1921.
