Appio Pignatelli is a district in the southeast of the Italian capital Rome . The name is derived from the Via Appia and the Pignatelli family . A well-known member of the family was Pope Innocent XII. It is referred to as Q.XXVI and is part of Municipio VII and VIII . It has 6809 inhabitants (as of 2016) and an area of ​​3.8944 km².

On September 13, 1961, the Suburbio S.VI Appio Latino became Quartier XXVI Appio Pignatelli.
